According to the email from GameStop, Crash 4 features more than 100 levels. That’s absolutely N.sane when you realize Crash 4 will probably have more levels than, or the same number as, the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy combined. Including secrets, the original trilogy boasts 102 levels.
On top of all that, Crash 4 introduces “new modes.” There’s no telling yet what those might be. But seeing as their designation as new, it’s probably safe to assume these modes are something other than the standard time attack challenges from the first three Crash games.
The email, courtesy of Crash Discord member StrawHatRy, also shows a lineup of Funko Pop merchandise as well, with figures for Tiny the Tiger and a number of Crash variations.
In a related bit of news, it appears Crash 4 could include microtransactions of some kind. IGN spotted a Microsoft Store listing for the game that includes a “+” symbol next to the price; that symbol indicates in-game purchases of some kind.
As StrawHatRy also notes, however, Crash Team Racing included additional skins and the like that you could buy with Wumpa Fruit you earned or bought with real money. Seeing as the same Microsoft listing also includes mention of a skin pre-order bonus, it makes sense to assume Crash 4 will do the same thing.
